Long time no post....here's an update on my clan. We have been very busy with various activities and such. I started working part-time so I am home with Hadley two days a week (woo hoo!) and LOVE it! We have caught up on our playtime together, as well as some rest :-) Here is an up to date list of things that she is currently impressing us with at her 5 month mark:
- Rolling over and over and over and over....you get the picture. She loves to roll over and has been for several weeks now.
- LOVES playing with her feet and hands. I don't know how a kid can entertain themselves that long with their appendages, but she can!
- She has really "chunked" up the last few weeks. We started her on some rice cereal and she seems to like it.
- Hadley loves her bathtime....it's almost as thought she looks forward to it. Our nightly (sometimes every other night) ritual is great for relaxation and calms her down before bedtime.
- Overall, Hadley is a very happy baby. The protein allergy is under control, as well as the reflux (thank you Jesus!!) She loves to be talked to and played with. We may just have a little social butterfly on our hands :-)
The littlest sis graduated high school two weekends ago thus ends the Borris legacy at McMinn County High School. Lainie will be attending Tennessee Wesleyan College on a soccer scholarship. We are very proud of her and wish her all the best!
I love this time of year for the simple fact that things get lazier. Living in the south allows for lazy days and long summer evenings that I intend to enjoy to the fullest this year. My hubby loves to cook so I have really been spoiled the past several nights by his cusine. Tonight I get Shrimp Gumbo....yummmm. We are all about some cajun food....;-)
Here are some pics of Had's first time in the pool this weekend and a SUPER cute bib my mother-in-law got her from Thirty One (just had to show it off!!)....we are headed to the beach in another week and I am so excited to get her little piggies in the sand. I have some great summer recipes that I will post either this evening when she goes to bed or tomorrow. Stay tuned....:-)
