Last night I have no clue what got into me. I put Hadley down for bed, checked a few of my favorite blogs and decided that I needed to clean out my cabinets above the fridge and the cabinet where I store all of my baking supplies and spices. Wylie came in from church and I think he was thought I had lost my mind! I had junk EVERYWHERE. But hey, I got the job done! I was able to purge lots of "old" cooking supplies (aka. stuff that was waaaay to old to consume) and make all of Hadley's and our snacks accessible and easy to get to. Here are a few of my own tips for snack storage. Bear these things in mind for any type of food storage in the kitchen:
1) Purchase clear containers that seal well- no kid likes stale vanilla wafers ;)
2) Make the storage "pretty"- what I mean is buy containers that fit the decor of your space Example: apothecary jars- I keep Hadley's animal crackers and fish snacks in these for easy access, but they look super in my kitchen! :)
The majority of our summer has consisted of playtime- inside, outside, poolside...
We decided to see how we would do with an orange Popsicle after we returned from the pool. She woke up from her nap and we sat outside on our little patio. Hadley LOVED it. She chatted up a storm and scarfed down the delicious treat. Gotta love sticky hands and little girls in cute bathing suits!! :)
Hope everyone has a super great day!
:-) Lindsay
